Todd: All right, all right. Shh, shh. I'm going to get you out of here,
get you home where you belong. Because you are my son.
Todd: Uh so, how long you been standing there?
Cassie: Long enough.
Todd: Long enough for what?
Cassie: Long enough to have heard every word you said.
Starr: Come on, mom, hurry up!
Blair: I told you that i would drive you over here so you could say good bye
to the baby, see it one more time, bring him his presents, but I also told you
that i was not going inside.
Starr: But, mommy, they're really heavy. I can't even carry some of them.
Blair: Well, how did you get them over to our house to begin with?
Starr: I shopped on-line. They deliver.
Blair: Well, ok.
Starr: What are you doing?
Blair: Starr, i told you I'm not going inside. Ring the doorbell,
cassie will help you carry them in. I'm going to wait for you out in the
car.
Starr: No, but, mommy, you have to bring presents in all together.
Blair: Why?
Starr: Because that's just how presents work.
Blair: Oh, you are being so silly.
Starr: No!
Blair: Ow, starr! What?
Starr: You can't go.
Blair: I don't want to go in there.
Starr: Yes, you do.
Blair: No, I don't.
Starr: Yeah, you do. You want to see the baby just as much as i do.
Todd: I didn't say anything.
Cassie: Oh, no.
Todd: No. Hey, you heard me say something, then you'd better get
yourself back to that loony bin in switzerland because you're hearing
voices.
Cassie: No, todd, the voice i heard was very real.
Todd: Yeah, all crazy people say that.
Cassie: And it was yours, telling that little baby that he was your son.
Todd: Oh, no, no, no, that was -- I was singing to it the old childhood refrain, you know
the sun's going to come up out of the sky in the morning
cassie: Todd, I'm not stupid and I'm not crazy. The voice I heard was
yours. I know exactly what's going on around here.
Starr: Why don't you just admit it? You want to see the baby, too.
Blair: No, I don't. And if you don't stop all this nonsense, we're both
going to drive home and you're not going to see the baby, either, ok?
Todd: All right, what do you think's going on?
Cassie: Do i really have to say it?
Todd: It would appear so.
Cassie: Todd, when i lost william, i was pretty devastated. And so was andrew.
And when i found river abandoned in the church creche, I thought he was my own.
I thought god had given me back my baby. And I get the sense that this is what you're
feeling right now. You're hoping that this little boy is your baby.
Todd: Well, he could be. I mean, you made river yours.
Cassie: Not until andrew and I had mourned william, not until we were ready to move on.
Todd: Yeah, well, you know, I mean, I just , I feel like i'm ready to move on.
Cassie: Yeah, todd, you might be, but blair certainly isn't. That's why
you've got to let this go, got to let this baby go. Look, I know you love
blair. I know you're going to do the right thing for her, but you got to
see what having this baby is doing to her. She can't handle being around
someone else's child.
Starr: That's not true.
Todd: Starr.
Cassie: What are you doing here?
Starr: I came with my mom. She's right outside and she's dying to see the baby.
Todd: She is?
Cassie: Come here. Come here, sweetheart.
Starr: Yeah. She's just too darn stubborn to admit it.
Todd: Blair?
Blair: Todd? What are you doing here?
Todd: Well, I could ask you the same question.
Starr: Ok, here's another present. Hey, you want to open it together?
Cassie: Starr, careful, honey, he's just a little baby.
Starr: So are you going to keep him?
Cassie: Yeah. Just for a little while.
Starr: I hope he comes back to my house. My daddy really loves him.
Cassie: Oh, honey, your daddy would love any little baby boy right now
because it would remind him of the baby he and your mommy lost.
Starr: No, that's not true. My daddy loves this baby in particular.
Cassie: Well, why do you say that?
Starr: Because.
Cassie: Because why?
Starr: Well, it kind of reminds him of our baby.
Blair: Starr insisted that i drive her over here so she could say good bye to the baby,
see him one last time. She even wanted me to go in, but I couldn't. So that's why I'm here.
What about you? You said you were going off to rent your favorite movie, "evil dead" whatever.
Todd: Right. Yeah, well, somebody got there before me.
Blair: Oh.
Todd: And then nellie called and I remembered that I had promised her
that I would check on her kid for her.
Blair: Nellie, the birth mother?
Todd: Yeah.
Blair: Well, since when do you keep any promises, todd?
Todd: Well, I keep promises -- sometimes.
Blair: Ok, you know what? I want to know the truth here. is there something more
going on here that maybe i should know about? Do you have some connection to this baby, todd?
Todd: Oh, come on, blair, i can't do something nice without having some
dark ulterior motive?
Blair: Todd, how did you find this nellie and her baby?
Todd: I already explained that to you.
Blair: Well, you didn't quite make it clear enough to me the first time.
Todd: Look, you really bummed out about losing the baby, so i went and
found an unwed mother and got you a new baby.
Blair: How and where?
Todd: What difference does it make?
Blair: Well, it could potentially make a big difference, todd.
Todd: No, the only thing that would make a difference is if you would
find a way to take this baby and let it be a part of your life.
Blair: Why are we going back to that?
Todd: Look, are you really sure? You know what? Don't even answer that.
Think about this, will you? Think about it from starr's point of view,
what she wants. She got this kid a whole bunch of presents, right, and she
said that if we kept the baby, that she didn't want anything for
christmas. Now, from starr that's huge.
Blair: Just stop, please.
Todd: And you've always told me that we have to put starr first.
Starr: What do you think you're doing?
Todd: Could you just go take one last look at the kid?
Blair: What's the point, todd?
Todd: Come on, blair, he's -- he's beautiful. I mean, really, he looks
exactly like what our kid would've looked like.
Blair: Just no.
Todd: And he's smart.
Blair: I know that he's smart. And I know that he's beautiful. And I know
that he looks like he could be our biological son, but I --
todd: You what?
Blair: I don't know.
Todd: All you got to do is look at him. That's all i'm asking. You just
look at him one last time, please, for me. Ok, for starr.
Starr: Spying is a very bad thing to do. Santa claus isn't going to get
you any presents this year.
Cassie: Starr, shh.
Blair: Hey, hey, hey. What's going on here?
Starr: Nothing, really. So are you ready to see the baby now? Mommy, he
smiled at me. He looked at me and he smiled.
Todd: Go on, blair. You know you want to.
Blair: No, I can'T.
Starr: No, mommy!
Cassie: Blair --
blair: Starr, come on.
Starr: Mom!
Cassie: Blair!
Todd: Everything's going to be all right, ok? I'll take care of it.
I'll figure out a way to change blair's mind. Nobody's going to break up
this family not now, not ever.
Cassie: Oh, my god.
Blair: Ok. Go upstairs.
Starr: You promised i could visit the baby!
Blair: Yeah, and you know what -- you promised you wouldn't make me go inside.
Starr: I didn't promise, I said! It's not the same thing!
Blair: Oh, wait a minute, I distinctly remember sitting right over there, you said, "mommy "
starr: Mommy, why can't we just keep the baby?
Blair: Because I'm the mommy and what i say goes.
Starr: Well, daddy wants the baby, too. It's 2-1.
Blair: Well, you know what? You're just going to have to get over it.
Starr: I won't, and neither will daddy. Not until the four of us are a big, happy family.
Todd: "Oh, my god," what?
Cassie: Why didn't i figure this out earlier?
Todd: Figure what out earlier?
Cassie: This isn't about blair, about making her happy. This isn't
about giving starr what she wanted for christmas. This is about you, isn't
it?
Todd: We already had this conversation. You remember? And I told you
then that you were right, that i was so upset about having lost a kid that
i made up this fantasy about this being my baby.
Cassie: But it's not a fantasy, is it? He's your son, isn't he?
Starr: Who the heck are you?
starr: Ooh, you are in trouble!
Natalie: Shut up, will you?
Blair: Don't talk to my daughter like that. You owe her an apology.
Natalie: I don't owe her squat. She's a brat.
Starr: She's the one that was stealing off the tree!
Natalie: And a liar, too.
Blair: Ok, you know what? That's enough. I don't know who you are, but
just tell us where the family is and we'll leave you alone.
Natalie: I don't know where the "family" is. Ask a servant.
Blair: Oh, you know what? We'll do that. Come on, starr -- starr?
Starr: Mommy, why don't we just go home? I hate it here.
Blair: Look, don't you want to give aunt viki your present?
Starr: Yeah, but maybe she can come over to our house. This way, maybe cassie will bring our baby.
Blair: It's not our baby. Ok? He's never going to be.
Cassie: I'm right, aren't i, todd? He really is your son, isn't he?
Todd: I don't know what you're babbling about.
Cassie: This is your son, your biological son.
Todd: Ok, you are nuts. You know that? And I don't mean like , like
almonds and pecans. I mean like disturbingly unbalanced.
Cassie: I've really hit a nerve, haven't i?
Todd: Yeah, you hit the nerve that starts to ache every time i got to
talk to one of you lunatic cramers!
Cassie: Oh, you're not going to shut me up by attacking me.
Todd: You need to go back to vienna or wherever it is that loony bin is
that you ran away from.
Cassie: This child is yours, isn't he?
Todd: How could that baby possibly be my biological son?
Cassie: You tell me.
Todd: I already have -- he not.
Cassie: Ok, fine! Then i'm going to tell you because I've got it all figured out.
Blair: Ok. Have i made myself clear?
Starr: No.
Blair: Excuse me?Ca
starr: Yes.
Blair: What's the one subject that we are not going to talk about again?
Starr: The one with the diapers.
Blair: Ok. You know, you've been hanging around your daddy a little bit
too long. I think we need to find aunt viki and give her her present, ok?
Starr: What about my apology from her?
Natalie: Don't hold your breath, littlp.
Blair: Oh, you sure are a piece of work.
Natalie: Shove it.
Blair: Who are you? And why are you in llanfair?
Natalie: This is my home, and I live here.
Blair: Oh, I know who you are. You're natalie, the one who claims to be viki's daughter.
Natalie: I am viki's daughter -- her only daughter.
Blair: Oh, ok. Well, we just see if viki and jessica agree with that.
Natalie: It's their problem if they don't because i'm the real buchanan not jessica, me.
Jessica: Oh, great. Looks like everyone met.
Starr: Too bad for us.
Viki: Hey. I'm very happy to see both of you.
Blair: Merry christmas.
Viki: Merry christmas. Hi.
Starr: Hi. Merry christmas.
Jessica: What's that?
Viki: What is it? What, honey?
Jessica: My christmas ornament from my first christmas when i was a
baby.
How did this break?
Starr: Don't look at me. She did it.
Natalie: I was only looking at it. It's an accident.
Jessica: Don't lie. I know you did this on purpose. I can't
Natalie: Is that what you think, too?
